The Secondary sector that includes manufacturing, electricity and construction grew at 5.3%, which is higher than that of All India growth of 2.5%. The Services sector growth for 2019-20 is 14.1%, as compared to All India growth of 9.8% at current prices. As of December 2020, there were 1.6 crore electricity consumers in the state which include 24.8 lakh agricultural consumers and 16 lakh industrial consumers. * One of the Government's flagship programmes is to provide 24 hours of uninterrupted power supply to all consumer categories, including the agriculture sector. Agriculture connections in the state have been receiving 24x7 free power supply since 2018. This has boosted agriculture production and improved farmers' incomes Telangana is one of the few states in the country that has achieved 100% electrification TSGENCO has undertaken a capacity addition programme by establishing two new thermal power projects of 5,080 MW. The state has vast solar potential with more than 300 sunshine days in a year. To leverage this, the Government is currently implementing the Telangana State Solar Policy 2015. 日日 22- Pink Book telangana 2021#23Telangana ranks 2nd in terms of Solar Power Capacity in India. The policy aims to provide fiscal incentives for investments in green energy and the development of a conducive environment for such industries. The programmes covered under this policy include Solar Power Projects (SPPs), Solar Rooftop Projects (SRPs), off-grid applications, and solar parks. To ensure a clean and healthy environment for its citizens by bringing down carbon emissions, the Government is encouraging the use of electric vehicles in the state. It is doing so by investing in vehicle charging stations and providing special power tariffs for charging (see Industries chapter for more details). According to the NITI Aayog's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) India Index 2019-20, the state is a 'Front Runner' on SDG 7 on ensuring access to clean and affordable modern energy. Telangana will add another 1,000 MW of solar energy capacity in next six to eight months taking the total installed capacity to over 5,000 MW in solar power segment. The scheme was launched by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in January 2018, after the success of KCR Kit. To avail this the government has set up an emergency number “102”. Presently, there are 241 multi-utility vehicles, GPS- tracked, with capacity for 10 patients. Each district is allotted 6-8 vehicles. By 2018-end another 200 vehicles were added to the existing strength of 241.
