The daily school time is 5 units of 60 minutes each for six mornings • Students are offered the opportunity to follow a three year music instrument: Guitar, Violin, Clarinet, Flute, Piano and Saxophone as the school is Music addressed.#20THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE SCHOOL ORGANIZATION - POF The POF It is the general plan of the school organization. It includes the didactic and educative outlines of all the activities. "DISCOVER TO BE" "Let us pick up our books and our pens, they are the most powerful weapons" (Malala)#21THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE SCHOOL ORGANIZATION - POF The POF, according to the regulation of the School Autonomy, is the fundamental document of the School, its "Identity Card". It in fact: ✓ expresses the educational planning; connects the training needs of families and of the territory to the curriculum; ✓ it is the tool that makes known the activities offered by the school. The educational offer is constituted by disciplinary and cognitive objectives and that are achieved in carrying out the activities provided for by the national indications.#22THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE SCHOOL ORGANIZATION - POF The School enriches the offer, developing projects that constitute a deepening and the integration of disciplinary programming and are born by the needs, interests and by the attitudes of the students, from the territorial context, by the need to deepen the disciplinary and interdisciplinary approach, from the offer of educational agencies present on the territory.#23THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE SCHOOL ORGANIZATION - POF The diagram indicates that all project activities of the school are based on the principle of a necessary cooperation between the school, the family and the territory. The school must in fact be understood as an institution investee, in which are actors the teachers, the families and the institutions of the territory and that has to provide cultural tools and skills that are able to help the student build their own project of life. FAMILY SCHOOL TERRITORY#24THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE SCHOOL ORGANIZATION - POF The School engages itself to conduct the pupil, understood as a person with its peculiarity, to the complete mastery of skills, in respect of their potential and the different ways of learning. Identifies the goals of its work by providing the student the opportunity to develop over time its personality.#25THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE SCHOOL ORGANIZATION - POF Learnings become, therefore, instrumental to the process of maturation of the personal identity of education for active citizenship, learning how to learn and orient themselves in different life contexts. The State has legislative competence only for «general rules. on education and for the determination of the essential levels of performance that must be guaranteed throughout the national territory. The Regions have legislative power competitor in the field of education and exclusive in vocational education and training. The schools have didactic autonomy in the Organizational, Research, Experimentation and Development field.#34THE EDUCATION SYSTEM • SCUOLA DELL'INFANZIA-NURSEY SCHOOL - Not mandatatory; - for children from 3-6 years old THE FIRST LEVEL OF EDUCATION - Mandatory; - lasts 8 years; - divided into: 1. SCUOLA PRIMARIA lasts 5 years, for pupils from 6 to 11 years old 2. SCUOLA SECONDARIA DI PRIMO GRADO it lasts 3 years, for students from 11 to 14 years old#35THE EDUCATION SYSTEM The second level of education is articulated in two types of paths: - Scuola secondaria di secondo grado it lasts 5 years, for students who have completed the first level of education. Schools organize paths of the LICEO, of technical and PROFESSIONAL institutes for students from 14 to 19 years old. - Three years paths and 4 years Education and Professional formation FP of regional competence.#36THE EDUCATION SYSTEM COMPULSORY EDUCATION Compulsory education lasts 10 years from 6 to years of age, and includes the eight years of the first level of education and the first two years of the second level. Higher Education is offered at the end of the five years of Secondary High School by UNIVERSITY
