Strategic planning Reply To support and strengthen mechanization for agriculture activities in the State. • Giving impetus to farm machinery banks, it is targeted to create 5 farm machinery banks by 2021 in addition to 110 farm machinery banks available in the state. ● In accentuating paddy cultivation, • Mechanised harvesting of paddy will be promoted by subsidising 3 harvesters to the targeted group of registered Farmers Agriculture Societies/Groups/NGO's Increase farm machinery banks/ Custom Hiring Centres by 12 centres by 2023. Promote Mechanised Transplanting of Paddy by creating two service providers equipped with all infrastructures needed for transplanting, in addition to seven service providers available in the state. • ● To add 15 Custom Hiring Centres, thus making total 125 centres, so as to increase the reach of farms mechanisation to small and marginal farmers of every taluka. • The target sets for goals 2,3, & 4 will be achieved by strategic planning as proposed in a planned manner. • Specific targets to achieve the goals will be fixed and will be allotted to sub offices as per the potentiality of the area Required inputs will be made available as per timeline and actual distribution will be monitored • Inspection team will be involved to check the ground level implementation • Programme will be evaluated at regular intervals by addressing issues of target shortfall#3Sr. Particulars No. 1. Action Plans Directorate of Agriculture, Goa (Extension Section) Reply To provide compensation towards losses caused to crops due to calamities. • To provide agriculture credit to farmers on soft terms To enroll farmers under PM Kisan . To undertake capacity buildings Compensation for losses caused due to Natural calamities, fire damage, wild animal etc. Budget provision Rs 500 lacs(Expenditure sa per actual requirements during 2020-21) • Providing Subsidised credit to farmers and allied activities for an amount of Rs 250 lacs. Addition of 3000 new farmers under C.S.S- PM kisan • Adding new 2000 farmers under KCC Capacity building of 1000 farmers through ATMA and for 80 officials through SAMETI Providing 30 departmental services on Mobile App Promoting and supporting 650 youth farmers. Compensation for losses caused due to Natural calamities, fire damage, wild animal etcBudget provision Rs 500 lacs (Expenditure as per actual requirements during 2020-23) • Providing Subsidised credit to farmers and allied activities for an amount of Rs 350 lacs. • Adding new 2000 farmers under KCC Capacity building of 1500 farmers through ATMA and for 300 officials through SAMETI • Providing 10 additional departmental services on mobile app • Promoting and supporting additional 500 youth farmers. Compensation for losses caused due to Natural calamities, fire damage, wild animal etc. Budget provision Rs 500 lacs (Expenditure as per actual requirements during 2020-21) • Providing Subsidised credit to farmers and allied activities for an amount of Rs 450 lacs. • Adding new 3000 farmers under KCC • Capacity building of 2000 farmers through ATMA and for 500 officials through SAMETI • Promoting and supporting additional 500 youth farmers. Agri credit upto Rs 1050 lakhs will be provided to Agri and allied sectors Present coverage of PM kisan scheme is 10000 which will be increased by additional 7000 farmers by 2025 • By 2025 all the schemes of the department will go 100% digital#46. Strategic planning • By 2025, 7000 additional farmers will be provided • credit facility through banks 1500 youths will be promoted as Agri Enterpreneurs by year 2025 • Specific targets to achieve the goals will be fixed and will be allotted to sub offices as per the potentiality of the area Required inputs will be made available as per timeline and actual distribution will be monitored • Inspection team will be involved to check the ground level implementation • Programme will be evaluated at regular intervals by addressing issues of target shortfall#5Sr. No. Particular Objectives 1 5 Short term goals (to be 2 achieved by 2021) 3 Medium term goals (to be achieved by 2023) 4 Long term goals (to be achieved by 2025) Action Plan Strategic 6 Planning Directorate of Agriculture, Goa (Crops & PP Section) Reply To increase the production and enhance the productivity of Field crops and Oil palm cultivated in the State for ensuring food security and socio-economic upliftment of farmers. • Making available 500 MT of quality seed of field crops on time at subsidized rates per year. • . . To bring additional 100 ha area lying fallow, under salt tolerant paddy, followed by pulses and groundnut in Rabi, so as to increase farmers income and cropping intensity. To bring additional 100 ha area under Paddy in Kharif and Rabi and enhance the productivity by 20%. Seed Production of 50 M.T. of paddy (salt tolerant varieties) and 10 M.T. pulses on departmental farms and selected seed growers. 12 Nos. Community farming projects will be undertaken in the State. 200 demonstration of HYV / Hybrid varieties of paddy & 100 demonstrations of pulses will be carried out. 4 nos Model khazan will be identified in talukas for undertaking Agriculture activities. 3 units for jaggery preparation from sugarcane, will be taken up on community basis. • Quality seed of 1000 MT of paddy and 25 Mt of Pulses will be made available to farmers in the State by the year 2025. Additional 500ha area of fallow land will be brought under Paddy cultivation. • 500 demonstration of HYV/Hybrid varieties of paddy & 100 demonstrations of pulses will be carried out. • By 2025, 15 additional Nos. Community farming projects will be undertaken in the State. . Total of 4 nos. Model khazans will be cultivated in talukas. Units for jaggery preparation from sugarcane, will be taken up on community basis. • Targets will be allotted to the Zonal Offices for achieving the goals. Foundation seed and Truthfully labelled seed will be supplied to farmers through the Zonal Agriculture Offices. • Regular inspections will be carried out to monitor the quality of the crops for seed production. • Meetings will be conducted for undertaking activities in Khazans and preparing community farming groups#6Sr. Particulars No. 1 Objective Directorate of Agriculture, Goa (Integrated Nutrient Management Section) Reply 2. Directorate of Agriculture, Goa (HORTICULTURE SECTION) Reply To increase the production and enhance the productivity of vegetables, fruits and flowers cultivated in the State and ensure socio-economic upliftment of farmers. To bring additional 200 ha area under different vegetable crops. To bring additional 100 ha area under different fruits crops. • Replanting and rejuvenation of senile/disease unproductive plantation in coconut and cashew in 250 ha area. . • . To bring additional area of 150 ha under Micro Irrigation. Production of fifty thousand planting material of fruits plantations and spices on departmental farms. To bring additional 600 ha area under different vegetable crops. To bring additional 300 ha area under different fruits crops. Replanting and rejuvenation of senile/disease unproductive plantation in coconut and cashew in 750 ha area. To bring additional area of 450 ha under Micro Irrigation. To develop and creation of irrigation infrastructure for in area of 300 ha. Production of one lakh planting material of fruits plantations and spices on departmental farms. To bring additional 1000 ha area under different vegetable crops. To bring additional 500 ha area under different fruits crops. Replanting and rejuvenation of senile/disease unproductive plantation in coconut and cashew in 1250 ha area. To bring additional area of 750 ha under Micro Irrigation. To develop and creation of irrigation infrastructure for in area of 500 ha. Production of two lakhs planting material of fruits plantations and spices on departmental farms. Identification of fallow land for cultivation. Motivation of farmers by providing training. • 6 Action Plans • in Supply of planting material for cultivation at source. Regarding area expansion and rejuvenation cashew/coconut in prominent talukas like Sattari, Canacona, Sanguem, Pernem. Identification of areas will be carried out and quality planting material will be supplied to farmers at village level. • Regarding vegetables and flower cultivation, planting material will be through Self Help Group's by convergence with Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA)/Rural Development Agency at village level and supplied to farmers. • Regarding Micro Irrigation, area under coconut cultivation will be identified and bring under Micro Irrigation System. Additional vegetable and fruit procurement centres will be set up GSHCL as and when required. Framers in the command area will be motivated to form a farmer's society to prepare a project for converting Lift Irrigation System into Micro Irrigation for water use efficiency.#8Empty
