In terms of the base metal market, generally Chinese companies invest at the high value end past Pre Feasibility. In terms of exploration companies, CYU listed at the peak of the market in late 2007 and represented a lower cost entry for Yunnan Copper albeit with no production profile. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into exploration is a refreshing development with CYU being a leading example. 7#9CHINA YUNNAN COPPER AUSTRALIA VINITED CYU Existing Projects CHINA Yunnan AUSTRALIA Queensland CHILE Humitor Exploration is not just about excellent geologists but also excellent ground position, We are looking for large copper gold systems whether they be IOCG style or Porphyry copper style. The APEC region generally will produce 92% of the worlds future copper. Chile is the number 1 copper producer globally with new discoveries at a higher rate than Australia. Recently the BHP Spence Porphyry Copper project paid off its $1 billion dollar capital cost in 1 year of full operations. If you are serious about medium term copper production and strong balance sheets, put some time into Chile. The China Copper Alliance is also important to CYU as it represents and opportunity to enter a copper belt of possible equal importance to the northern Chilean Cordillera. With a strong partner in Chinalco Yunnan Copper in the area we may soon select an advanced project for a development partnership In the Yunnan region. 8#10CHINA YUNNAN COPPER AUSTRALIA VINITED CYU - Australian Projects MSunt Isn Normanton Birkelown ngham Townsvile Pentland Project Cloncurry North Project Charters Towers Jula Creek Cloncurry Mount Isa Project endesy Bowen -20° Ravenswood Project Winton Tepement Boulia Office Town Longreach Barcaldin Emerald Road CYU's Australian Exploration projects are generating results. Take the example of Australia's second biggest, export industry, Iron Ore. Without FDI initially from the Japanese, the Iron industry would have grown at a much slower rate. Note the year of investment relates directly to growth in the proceeding years, with negligible growth from 1974 to 1988 in a period of reduced foreign investment. A key point here is since the mid 60's, 45 years ago, this relationship of private and public foreign companies buying into strategic assets in Australia has been a harmonious process benefiting both parties. This is a 45 year example of FDI success. Innovative partnerships with Sino Australian and generally APEC partners will further unlock the value in Australia's copper asset base. 25#27CHINA YUNNAN COPPER AUSTRALIA NITEC CYU 2010 Team Focus Resources from Greenfields Exploration Success.
