#1Presentation on Review of Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Nagaland 7th December, 2018 NITI Aayog, New Delhi#2• ● • Background - Sustainable Development Goals 2030 The 1st meeting of SDG in Nagaland was held on 20th May, 2016 under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary with all the Administrative Head of Departments and Heads of Departments. The meeting highlighted the 17 SDGs. 23 Departments identified for SDG's implementation and nodal officers appointed. Meeting of the identified 23 Departments with Development Commissioner held on 21st June, 2017 to take the lead in attaining the SDGs. Officials from Planning and other Departments attended workshops and conferences organised by NITI Aayog.#3Status on the implementation of SDGs 2030 • A two day State Level workshop on building capacities for taking forward SDGs in Nagaland was conducted in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme on 13th & 14th November, 2018. Topics covered: 1. Relevance of SDGs in the Nagaland context. 2. Strategy and Action plan with timelines in respect of departments 3. Developing an institutional structure for SDGs in Nagaland. 4. Identifying monitorable indicators 5. Developing monitoring systems in the state.#4Way Forward - Sustainable Development Goals 2030 : • MoU to be signed with UNDP for technical support. ● SDG Cell has been set up in Planning & Co-ordination Department headed by Principal Secretary & Development Commissioner. SDG Cells in all 23 Departments to be created. Economic & Statistics Department to be appointed as Nodal Agency for ensuring real-time data and facilitating monitoring & evaluation of SDG tools and Dashboards.#5Thank you
