Investment properties include cropland and the infrastructure on it that is leased
to third parties.
Investment property is recorded at fair value, which was determined based on
valuations performed by independent appraisers on October 16, 2020. The Com-
pany performs annually, the valuation of the fair value of assets recorded as in-
vestment property.
The fair value of the properties was determined by the direct comparison of mar-
ket data, which consists in determining the market value of an asset by comparing
it with other similar assets, through their selling prices, in view of their similar
characteristics. In this method, adjustments are made using factors that aim to
correct any differences between the goods available on the market and the asset
