Alberta: The Best Place to Live, Work and Do Business ☐ ◉ ☐ ☐ Alberta's borders touch the Canadian Rocky Mountains to the west, the vast prairies to the east, the United States to the south and the Canadian arctic to the north. On average, the province's 4.3 million people are the youngest of all Canadian provinces, with a median age of 36.3 years. 68.7 per cent of the Alberta's labour force aged 25 years and older is holding a post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate. Even though Alberta's economy was in recession in 2016, Alberta still led the nation in economic growth during the past 20 years. Alberta's international airports in Edmonton and Calgary provide excellent air service to both domestic and international destinations.
