International trade at record highs
Accumulated exports through December reached €59,079
million, which represents a record high in 2022. The evolution
at the beginning of 2023 is very favorable, even surpassing
the levels recorded in 2022.
Imports exceeded the levels of previous years, with a
cumulative figure up to the end of the year of 110,618 M€. In
January 2023, imports followed the same path as that
recorded in the same month of 2022.
In terms of products, pharmaceuticals and fuels are driving
up domestic exports in 2022 y 2023. On the import side, the
energy component is the most relevant one.
