Location-specific Vulnerability Assessment
Hydrological modeling provided location-specific
estimates of the depth, duration and extent of
flooding.
The impact of inundation of even the same depth
and duration on population and infrastructure differ
significantly depending on an affected area's
disaster resilience.
The climate disaster resilience of Dhaka City at ward
and thana level were quantified with 125 variables
(25 components along five dimensions physical,
social, economic, institutional and natural).
Survey data was collected and experts were
consulted to quantify location-specific disaster
resilience.
