Neither the company nor any of its subsidiaries are subject to externally imposed capital
requirements 263
When an entity is subject to externally imposed capital requirements (for example, a bank that is subject to the maintenance of a
specified capital adequacy ratio imposed by the relevant banking regulator), paragraph 135 of HKAS 1 requires disclosure of the
nature of those requirements and how those requirements are incorporated into the management of capital. If the entity has not
complied with these requirements, the consequences of such non-compliance should also be disclosed.
An entity may be subject to a number of different externally imposed capital requirements (for example, a conglomerate may
include entities that undertake insurance activities and banking activities) and may manage capital in a number of ways. Where an
aggregate disclosure of these capital requirements and how capital is managed would not provide useful information or would
distort a financial statement user's understanding of the entity's capital resources, the entity should disclose separate information
for each capital requirement to which the entity is subject.
