131 Arla Foods Consolidated Annual Report 2021 / Environmental, social and governance (ESG) data / Notes Social figures 2.2 GENDER DIVERSITY SHARE OF FEMALES IN MANAGEMENT INCREASED A diverse workforce is key to Arla's success. Arla's policies do not distinguish between men and women when it comes to promotion opportunities or remuneration, however women are underrepresented in Arla's blue-collar workforce, and to a lesser extent in the white-collar workforce as well. Arla's goal is to create a workplace with a diverse workforce promoting equal opportunities regardless of background, culture, religion, gender etc. Diversity, inclusion and anti-harassment policies are in place to handle issues in a structured manner and a whistle- blower platform enables employees to report any kind of harassment. Work councils at both local and global levels also help to ensure that workplace decisions are made in the best interests of all colleagues and Arla. Gender diversity for the Board of Directors is disclosed in ESG Note 3.1. Gender diversity (all employees) In 2021, the female share of FTEs remained unchanged from last year at 27 per cent.
