Out of an inflow of EUR 23.1 bn in the period 2018-2023, over
EUR 12.0 bn has been directed into tradable sectors, most
notably manufacturing (almost EUR 7.0 bn).
• Manufacturing sectors with the highest FDI inflows (metals,
autos, food, rubber and plastic) recorded a high growth in
employment, output and exports.
•
In 2022, FDI inflow amounted to EUR 4.4 bn (net inflow
EUR 4.3 bn), and in 2023, a new record level of FDI
inflow of EUR 4.5 bn (net EUR 4.2 bn) was recorded.
In the first two months of 2024, FDI inflow amounted to
almost one billion (EUR 970 mln), while the net FDI inflow
amounted to EUR 854 mln.
