State Budget Posture Amendment 2020 As a response to development needs for handling of pandemic COVID-19 2020 Law (UU) No.20/2019 Deficit 1,76% The Law on State Finance (Law No.17 of 2003) stipulates that the budget deficit is limited to a maximum of 3% of GDP and the amount of Government debt is a maximum of 60% of GDP. Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No.54/2020 . Deficit 5,07% With extraordinary and very urgent conditions, the State Budget deficit policy exceeds the 3% limit, through the enactment of Perppu No.1 / 2020 (becoming Law No.2 / 2020). The magnitude of the 2023 state budget deficit will return a maximum of 3%.
