Victoria Swap Prices
•
Contrasting wholesale prices in 1H2021 with low summer prices
resulting from cooler summer temperatures and increased
renewables, and high winter prices impacted by less coal
generation due to outages across the National Electricity Market.
Low forward prices expected to continue with potential volatility
from an ageing fleet.
Focus remains on asset availability, reliability and efficiency of
existing fleet whilst completing major maintenance, alongside
new flexible generation ahead of major coal retirements
including progressing construction of Tallawarra B and planning
for Wooreen Battery.
