Constituency Development Fund Overview

Background and History 1994 - "COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND" increased to $200,000.00 /Constituency. 1994-1997 CDF allocation remained at $200,000.00/constituency 1997-2000 introduction of the Rural Community Development Fund [RCDF] and this was increased to $300,000.00 in 1998. 2000 - RCDF channeled through MPs for first time and amount increased to $370,000.00. Increase funded by aid from PNG and Taiwan [ROC]. In 2001 - Amount increased to $400,000.00/Constituency. ► No accountability, acquittal, requirement system for monitoring of expenditure until 2013, when the CDF Act was introduced.
