Anapa Event Passport Krasnodar Region Novorossiysk Tuapsinsky District Dobrodeya Park Berendeevo Tsarstvo (Berend- ey's Kingdom), a magical forest with characters of Russian folk tales who come to life, bright shows and interesting contests and games, has been created in the park for children. Arine-Berd Armenian Cultural Center - It's a cultural centre and a for- tress. Here you can acquaint yourself with history and culture of one of the largest Kuban di- the Armenian one. The aspora territory comprises a historical gallery, a throne room, a market square. There are cages with pea- cocks and pheasants on the ter- ritory of the square. Russian Gates Remains of the Turkish fortress built in 1783 are located near the Archaeological Museum. By De- cree of Nikolai I all the Turkish con- structions were to be destroyed. Only the Eastern Gates were left untouched to commemorate the valor of the Russian army, so the name of the Russian Gates stuck. Church of Saint Onuphrius It's one of the oldest Kuban churches that still functions. It was built in 1837 in the honour of Saint Onuphrius, the patron of Anapa. It was the day of his com- memoration, June 25, 1828, that the Turkish fortress of Anapa fell under the pressure of the Rus- sian Army. Anapa Lighthouse The lighthouse was constructed in 1955. It's the octangular tower with three black horizontal stripes. The height of the central light is 43 m above sea level. The range coverage is 18.5 nautical mile. Sukko Lake Unique swamp cypresses (32 trees) grow amidst this picturesque lake. Their native land is the Ameri- can continent. Wood doesn't fog off because of the abundance of resin. According to today's local history experts, at the moment about 400 dolmens have been preserved in Tuapse, settlements of Prigorod- ny, Dzhubga, Novomikhailovskoye; villages of Tegin- ka, Anastasievka and other inhabited localities. Aqua World Dolphinarium Dolphins, white whales, sea lions and fur seals take part in the performance. Kiselev Rock A smooth 43 m high rock is located 4 km from Tuapse, between the Kadosh Cape and the mouth of the Agoi River. Tengin Waterfalls The sight of the Tengin Waterfall, its waters falling down freely and shattering on the land in a cloud of splashes with a thundering roar is truly one of the most amazing beauties of nature. The waterfall is in a picturesque area that has never been changed by humans. Even a rainbow can be seen sometimes in a cloud of splashes. There's a small lake and a place for rest next to the waterfall.
