The PES infrastructure projects employed an additional 38 SMMEs since November 2020, while the DFFE Working for Water, Working for Ecosystems and Wetlands employed more teams for land rehabilitation with the PES Funds received. There were more SMME opportunities awarded to address COVID 19 related impacts on the social economic wellbeing of communities Challenges: None Corrective actions: None required Target exceeded : 87 other SMMEs contracted Motivation for over achievement: More opportunities for contracting SMME's were available through the PPP opportunities Challenges: None Corrective actions: None required
