Overview
| Private Education and Higher Education
It is possible to trace a trend towards an
increase in the participation of private
institutions in Brazilian higher education. The
reasons for this trend are diverse; however, it
can be briefly highlighted that there was a
significant growth of a young portion of the
Brazilian population that pressured the demand,
in addition, there were important initiatives by
the Federal Government in order to expand the
offer of higher education courses.
