36 CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65: NATURALLY-OCCURRING EXEMPTION Proposition 65 allows for exemption from warning requirements only for exposures that are the result of: - Human consumption of a food in which the listed chemical is "naturally occurring"; and For consumer products other than food, exposure to a listed chemical that was naturally occurring in food, and "the food" was used in the manufacture, production, or processing of that consumer product [see 27 CCR §25501 (a) and (b)]. An example is natural fruit sources of fragrance components used in some products, as long as synthetic chemical not added.
