• Universitas Diponegoro was also pleased to invite Dr. Faheem Ahmed Khan as Key note speaker in ISSRP 2021 International conference on "The demand for Welfare and Sustainable Ruminant and poultry Production for food Sovereignty During Covid-19 pandemic. Participated as speaker in Webinar on Laboratory Sciences organized by Gulf medical University and generated collaborative opportunities between UCP and Gulf medical University. Dr. Faheem Ahmed Khan, assistant professor, Department of Zoology, organized Summer course in Universitas Diponegoro Indonesia where students from faculty of science and faculty of life science University of Central Punjab were trained and awarded certificates to successful candidates. The program provided an opportunity to students to interact with well reputed multidisciplinary national and international faculty involved with high-tech research activities. Students learned a lot regarding research based understanding from world class foreign professors. Internationalization: Admission of Sri Lankan Students • • • • • Before the start of Fall 2021 admission cycle, UCP received a letter from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) regarding the information of reserved seats for foreign students at UCP. In response to that, a list of UCP offered programs along with the available seats in each program was provided Following this, UCP managed to admit 7 Sri Lankan students in 3 undergraduate programs including Pharm-D, BS Accounting & Finance, and BBA. The admissions office at UCP took care of all the initial admission application processes and documents verification of these students. Along with developing a detailed SoP document for international students, a special desk has been established at the Student Services Center which will make sure to complete the paperwork of these students along with the other requirements The boarding and lodging of these students were also taken care of by the department of student affairs. Also, they were taken through a detailed orientation session that helped them get accustomed to the UCP culture and standards. Foreign Students at UCP Total nine Sri Lankan students have joined the university in Fall 2021 Admission Cycle. Two students have joined Faculty of Life Sciences in the BS Biotechnology Programme and three Sri Lankan students joined our Business School in the BBA Programme. Four Sri Lankan International students have joined Faculty of Pharmacy in Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) program. Program coordinator Dr. Muhammad Nadeem Alvi, Exam coordinator Dr. Imtiaz Majeed and Faculty coordinator Mr. Usman Anwar are in faculty to facilitate international students. Mr. Salman Ahmed and Ms. Nimra Shakeel are their buddy students always ready to guide and help them in academic and non-academic problems.
