New Inductees - Strengthening HR Policies
In an effort to meet the changing needs of employees in the education sector and inculcate a
conducive, performance-oriented culture at the University, extensive work has been done by the HR
Department. Market-aligned, employee-focused HR policies are being developed and introduced
to enhance employee satisfaction. Processes are being re-designed to ensure operational efficiency.
A noteworthy initiative was the revamp of the recruitment & selection process with the aim to
hire qualified and competent employees at the University. The Fall 2021 faculty induction was
done through a competency-based process which was initiated after detailed manpower analysis
to ensure optimal human resource allocation meeting the requirements of HEC and various
accreditation councils.

Competency-based Recruitment and Selection ensuring hiring of qualified and competent employees through an
interview panel
Largest Faculty Hiring to hire qualified and accomplished faculty members to meet the increasing student intake
Entire process was conducted in a span of 4 months
Approximately 4000 applications received who went through a competitive 3-step selection process for assessment
and selection, including an English Language proficiency assessment
More than 120 new joiners till date - an increase of 23% in the full-time faculty of UCP
Previously 124 PhDs teaching at UCP, with another 29 PhDs inducted in this cycle
Introduction of a revamped faculty orientation program to ensure informed new joiners with
clear performance expectations
A 1-day orientation session on company overview, academic and HR policies, expectations, overview
of research & innovation
A 4-day extensive Teaching Excellence Certification program
Ended with a formal question and answer session in auditorium allowing rapport building with Pro-
Rector, Deans, and Directors
