Background of Receipt of Increased Private
Allotment of Shares
Proper provision of information primarily through explanatory
meetings held by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport
and Tourism to promote understanding among as many residents
as possible of efforts to enhance the functionality of Tokyo-area
airports (increase in schedule of international flight departures and
arrivals).
Given these conditions, TIAT embarked on a terminal building
upgrade and expansion plan to cope with projected growth in
international flight passengers, with a portion of the required funds
to be procured through the issuance of new shares.
To fulfill its duties as the representative company of TIAT, and to
cooperate on ensuring more solid implementation of this project,
Japan Airport Terminal acquired additional shares.
After the payment process was complete, Japan Airport Terminal
holds an equity stake of 51%, converting TIAT from an equity-
method affiliate into a subsidiary.
