Currently, about 25% of the world's population are Muslims. 60% of them are young people under 30 years old - the driving force behind the demand for halal agricultural products. By 2050 the proportion of Muslims is expected to increase to 35%, and welfare-high growth rates ensure the growth of Muslim consumer spending by 7-10% annually. The main share of Russian halal exports was meat products and confectionery products. Russian agricultural products are also widely represented in the market of OIC countries and are increasingly gaining interest among non-Muslim states. Meat products have special potential for export development. The meat industry is actively developing in Russia. In addition, we have about 20 million Muslims, which creates a domestic demand for halal meat. It is produced up to 10% of the total production of poultry, beef, and lamb. 75
