BIO-MEDICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT IN STATE OF ANDHRA PRADESH Bio-medical Waste (Management and Handling) Rules 1998 were formed to deal with Bio Medical Waste generated in HCEs during the diagnosis, treatment or immunisation of human beings or in research activities. Bio Medical waste generation - About 100 gms/bed per day. APPCB issuing authorisations to HCEs under these rules (HO more than 50 beds, ZO - 10 - 50 beds, RO - less than 10 beds).
