Governance
The Czech Republic is a parliamentary democracy
with direct election of the President (first time in January 2013).
The Parliament is divided into two Chambers:

200 members elected under the proportional system

81 senators elected under the majority system
Executive power is held by the National Government headed by a Prime Minister.
Public administration is carried out by the central state administration
and self-governing regional and local authorities (regions and municipalities).
