Treatment of female genital schistosomiasis . (FGS) FGS is treatable and preventable. • Use of single dose of Praziquantel at 40mg/kg will stop progression of the disease . There are some symptoms that will not be resolved. • Most lesions identified in the female genital tract cannot be cured by the drug for instance tubal blockage is permanent. However, debilitating symptoms like discharge and bleeding generally resolves. Complicated cases will be treated based on symptoms presented 2/16/2022
