Trinity modified nearly 1,900 tank cars to the DOT-117 standard over a three year period, and the
following year was awarded the designation of "Preferred Maintenance Partner" by the customer. As a
result of the new maintenance relationship, Trinity bundled a maintenance and after market parts
program with a new railcar agreement to help the customer manage their Cap-Ex vs Op-Ex budgets -
differentiating Trinity's service offering.
