Where an employment contract is terminated for any of the
reasons under points 1 to 3, the employer is obliged to pay the
employee up to three months' severance pay depending on
the duration of the employment relationship. If the reason for
termination is the employee's health incapacity resulting from
an occupational disease or accident at work, the severance
pay equals twelve times the employee's monthly earnings.
Specific termination conditions apply in respect of
temporarily disabled employees, pregnant women
and employees caring for minors. Specific termination
conditions, severance pay rules and other conditions may
also be included in a collective bargaining agreement, if in
force.
Employment terminations during the trial period may be
submitted by either party for any reason, or without any
reason being given.
