Women's Empowerment Principles The seven principles Promote the strengthening of women's leadership in the workplace and in the productive chain of companies: this is the goal of the Women's Empower- ment Principles (WEPs), a joint initia- tive of the UN Women and the Global Compact that lays out seven steps to leverage gender equality in the busi- ness world. In 2021, we received an honorable mention in our first partici- pation in the WEPS Brazil Award, which acknowledges companies that share WEPS and encourage gender equality. 1 2 3 ESTABLISH HIGH-LEVEL CORPORATE LEADERSHIP FOR GENDER EQUALITY. TREAT ALL WOMEN AND MEN FAIRLY AT WORK - RESPECT AND SUPPORT HUMAN RIGHTS AND NONDISCRIMINATION. ENSURE THE HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF ALL WOMEN AND MEN WORKERS. At Vivara, 87% of leadership positions are held by women. On our Executive Board this proportion is 36%, and on the Board of Directors, 40%. Our selection criteria are based on the professional experience required for the function and alignment with the institutional culture. Diversity is one of the principles highlighted in our Code of Conduct and one of the priority causes set in 2021. Our corporate program Viva Bem ("Live Well") is a complete group of actions for well-being and quality of life, working on physical and mental health, motivating sustainability, dedicating special care to pregnant women, and providing family benefits. Our retention rate after maternity leave is 74%. 401-3 64 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2021 VIVARA 4 PROMOTE EDUCATION, TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR WOMEN. Our sales force is female, and we dedicate special attention to commercial training. In 2021, store teams received 290,799 hours of training, with an average of 98.07 training hours per employee. 5 6 IMPLEMENT ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT, SUPPLY CHAIN AND MARKETING PRACTICES THAT EMPOWER WOMEN. PROMOTE EQUALITY THROUGH COMMUNITY INITIATIVES AND ADVOCACY. Our supply chain audit and development program involves checking of fair labor issues, including gender issues, and our campaigns always strive for diversity, respect, and appreciation of women. By supporting the Mempodera project, we encourage the educational aspect of sport for empowering girls and young women and their communities (see more in Tax-incentive sponsored projects). 7 Kharyn - Sales MEASURE AND PUBLICLY REPORT ON PROGRESS TO ACHIEVE GENDER EQUALITY.
