Our Health Services
The Province of PEI offers a wide range of clinical services to Islanders, which are regulated by the Health Services Act.

The province of PEI currently operates 7 hospitals - 2 full-service acute care facilities, 4 community care centres, and 1 psychiatric
hospital. Funding for hospital services includes:

Pharmacare
Beyond hospitals, there are also many community health initiatives in the province. These include primary care and chronic disease
management, public health programs, children's development services, palliative care, geriatric care, and long-term care. There are a
total of 26 community health sites on PEI, and 19 additional long term care facilities (9 public and 10 private). The province also offers
a range of mental health and addiction services. There are 7 mental health clinics across the province, and 6 addiction centres.
