South Region
The Southeast region is 0.6 million km2 in length and represents about 7%
of the national territory. It is the second region with the highest
demographic density in the country (52 inhabitants/km2).
The region represents approximately 17% of the national GDP and
economic activity revolves around industry and agriculture. It has good
logistical and economic infrastructure.
It has a good supply of qualified labor and educational centers. It has the
second highest GDP per capita and the lowest unemployment rate.
