Myanmar's New Foreign Investment Law Overview

India-Myanmar Relationship ODFDL LEGAL & TAX Diplomatic relations between India and Myanmar have their foundations in 1951 when the two countries signed a Treaty of Friendship. By declaring itself "open for business" recently, Myanmar has seen rapid growth in foreign direct investment resulting in stronger commercial ties between India and Myanmar. India is currently Myanmar's fourth-largest trading partner after Thailand, Singapore, and China. India's investment in Myanmar currently stands at USD 273.5 million; the two countries have tentatively set a target for bilateral trade of USD 3 billion by 2015.
