Investment Fraud in Canada This section was preceded by an explanation of the topic: So far we have focused on investments. Now we would like to turn to fraud. As you know, not every investment makes money. Some investments lose money even if everyone means well and is entirely honest in their dealings. However, there are some cases where people are trying to steal your money and mislead you and they propose an investment based on false information. So, in this case, we mean a fraud occurs when someone intentionally gives you false information to get money from you.
