Fish Spawning Season Analysis

The specimen of Oreochromis mossambicus (Peters) for the present study had been collected on a monthly basis from a small perennial domestic pond of Nazira Town of Sivasagar district in Upper Assam. Water of the pond was analyzed on a monthly basis. The pond bottom soils samples and the pond biota including fauna, flora and plankton had been recorded seasonally. The four season had been recorded according to climatic condition of Assam as winter (December - February); pre-monsoon (March-May); Monsoon (June - September) and autumn (October-November).
