Student Engagement with DSA Independence Day Celebrations Celebrating the spirit of our national day, a flag hoisting ceremony was organized to commemorate the 74th Independence Day of Pakistan at University of Central Punjab. Our faculty, staff and students joined in to send out a message of national unity. Welcoming Class of 2021 Orientation UCP welcomed the Class of 2021 and organized 5-day Orientation for each faculty. The orientation program was designed to introduce UCP to its new students and inculcate its values to make them part of our community. Faculty, staff and students joined hands in welcoming the new class and make their entry into UCP a memorable one. Stalls of students' societies and clubs were installed in the courtyards where new students joyously participated in activities while getting acquainted with the society teams. IN DENCE E DISASTER MANAGEMENT SOCIETY HEC Sports Trophy 2020-2021 The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan held the HEC General Sports Trophy 2020-2021, Sports Scholarships and Prize Money ceremony at University of Central Punjab. The honorable chief guest of the ceremony was Mr. Shafqat Mahmood, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training in Pakistan; the Guest of Honor for the event was Ms. Shaista Sohail, Executive Director HEC and Vice Chancellors of participating and winning Universities. The guests were welcomed by Mian Amer Mehmood, Chairman Punjab Group, Prof. Sohail Afzal Executive Director Punjab Group and Dr. Nassar Ikram, Pro-Rector UCP. General Trophies were awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for national-level participation for both men and women. 70+ cash prizes and scholarship cheques were distributed among the National Medals winners who represented the HEC Pakistan University Sports Board. The overall Inter-University Championship Trophies for both Men & Women were also awarded for 2020-21. We emerged as the university with the most winnings and kept its winning streak alive by becoming the HEC General Sports Champions for the 10th time! Open House Sessions Prior to admissions, students and parents were invited in the Open House sessions for all faculties. This is a well guided tour for them and chance to explore the offered programs at the university for better decision making. Deans and Faculty members interacted with students and parents during the information sessions and provided answers to their queries. Turk Pak Photo Exhibition - 1,000 Years Connecting History Turk-Pak Photo Exhibition showcased the history of the relationship between the Muslims of the subcontinent and the Ottoman Empire over 1,000 years. Students from all disciplines took deep interest into the history as it opened new doors of exploration for them.
