Exports Community of Madrid (Mill.€)
International trade at record highs
Accumulated exports through December reached €59,079 million,
which represents a record high in 2022. The evolution at the
beginning of 2023 is very favorable, even surpassing the levels
recorded in 2022.
Imports exceeded the levels of previous years, with a cumulative
figure up to the end of the year of 110,618 M€. In April 2023,
imports decreased compared to April 2022 and in the first four
months of the year were similar to those recorded in the same
period last year.
By product, pharmaceuticals and fuels drive domestic exports
in 2022 and 2023. On the import side, the energy component
is the most relevant.
