The changing system of international relations and the confrontation between the West and Russia are forcing the latter to change the geography of economic relations and the structure of supply chains. In Africa, the Arab Republic of Egypt is a reference country for the Russian Federation in the context of the restructuring of foreign economic relations. In addition to the large nuclear power project to build the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant worth $30 billion, Egypt imports large quantities of nuclear fuel. Egypt imports large amounts of grain (more than 5 million tons per year, $1.8 billion) and railway equipment (1,300 passenger cars worth 1 billion euros). Cooperation has even broader prospects in the context of projects to create a Russian industrial zone, a grain hub in the Suez Economic Zone, and the introduction of mutual settlements in national currencies.
