9.2 NORTH-SOUTH INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT CORRIDOR. RUSSIA - EAST: LOGISTICS, IMPORT-
EXPORT
Organizer: Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The market of foreign economic activity and logistics services is now undergoing an enormous transformation.
Unresolved problems accumulated during the pandemic have been superimposed on the unprecedented
sanctions imposed on Russia. As a result, the skies of Western countries have closed to Russian aircraft, the
global sea carriers Maersk, MSC, and CMA CGM have left the Russian market, and the largest courier
companies DHL, Fedex TNT, and UPS have ceased operations. Restrictions on the movement of cargo have
led to a global realignment of delivery routes. In the light of the current geopolitical stalemate, the International
Transport Corridor "North - South" (ITC "North - South") claims to be almost the main trade artery for Russia,
and experts note not only its economic necessity but also its strategic importance. International Integration
Club "North-South" is an authoritative platform in Russia to discuss projects within ITC "North - South". The
main mission of the Club is to unite authorities and business resources of the member countries of the
international project, as well as partner countries in the dialogue, mutual information and analysis of
preparation of investment agreements. How the development of ITC "North - South" affects the development
of the economy and export logistics of Greater Eurasia? What is the role of the Russian Federation, India and
Iran in the development of ITC "North-South"? How does the integrated use of transport infrastructure optimize
logistics costs and expand opportunities for international cooperation? How does ITC "North - South" affect
the investment potential of the countries of Greater Eurasia?
