The maximum exposure to credit risk at the end of the reporting period for trade receivables is the carrying amount of the asset inclusive of any allowance for impairment as
shown in the table at note 8.1(c) 'Financial risk management - Credit risk exposure".
The department does not hold any collateral as security or other credit enhancements for trade receivables.

Amounts receivable for services represent the non-cash component of service appropriation. It is restricted in that it can only be used for asset replacement or payment of
leave liability.
The amounts receivable for services are financial assets at amortised cost, and are considered not impaired (i.e. there is no expected credit loss of the holding accounts).
