Living in the Czech Republic
Foreign nationals coming to the Czech Republic are subject to the so-called Foreigners'
Act, which establishes two categories of foreigners: citizens of the EU, the EEA and
Switzerland and nationals of third countries.
Residency and visas
To stay in the Czech Republic for more than
three months, citizens of non-EU countries re-
quire a long-term visa or a long-term or perma-
nent residence permit.
Natural persons with permanent residence out
side the Czech Republic or legal entities with
a registered office outside the Czech Republic
may run a business in the Czech Republic under
the same conditions and under the same limita
tions as a Czech person/entity.
