Actively reducing exposure in the USA; exposure of
$4.6bn plus $0.5bn classified as held-for-sale
In more developed markets such as the UK and
Hong Kong, our exposure mainly comprises the
financing of investment assets, the redevelopment
of existing stock and the augmentation of both
commercial and residential markets to support
economic and population growth
Hong Kong exposure includes exposure to
mainland China CRE of $8.1bn, which accounts for
$3.3bn of the $3.4bn stage 3 exposure
In less developed commercial real estate markets,
our exposures comprise lending for development
assets on relatively short tenors with a particular
focus on supporting larger, better capitalised
developers involved in residential construction or
assets supporting economic expansion
