the Presidio of Santa María. He was an Opata soldier of this company. He died the day before in an attack by the
Apaches. His unfortunate death was made known to me on the 27th of the said month and year. He was married to
Maria Eusebia Verdugo and for the truth of all, I sign on the said day, the 27th. Fr. Antonio Beneitez"
