SEA is severely lagging in terms of medical
infrastructure and healthcare professionals.
Shortage of hospital beds and qualified
physicians and nurses results in bed
occupancy rates of over 100%, well above
WHO's recommendation of 80%
Further, patients face prolonged wait times and
very short consultation time with their doctors.
SEA is not equipped to meet the current
demand of healthcare.
