MEXICO TIER-11 NEARSHORING ABSORPTION BY
INDUSTRY, 2019-2Q23
•
•
Nearshoring is already reflecting on
economic indicators such as machinery
imports, accelerating since the pandemic
due to global supply chain disruptions,
tensions in U.S.-China relations, and the
USMCA.
We estimate ~75% of total demand in
2022 was related to Nearshoring,
including Tier 1 & 2 1
We expect nearshoring to continue as
companies bring production processes
closer to the U.S. consumer.
