Loaded volumes increased by 3.2%
driven by higher headhaul volumes on
the East-West network as backhaul
volumes have decreased for both East-
West and North-South compared with
Q4 2019. North-South volumes
declined, mainly driven by lower
volumes in Africa and Oceania, while
East-West volumes were positively
impacted by the recovery of export out
of Asia with stronger volumes on the
transpacific trades.
The average loaded freight rate
increased by 17.7%, primarily driven by
the significant short-term rate
increases towards the end of the year.
