Introduction
Albedo
The albedo of a surface is the fraction of the incident sunlight that the surface reflects.
Important measure it. Necessary for the characterization of the results.
Albedo may change from season to season: snow during the winter or different vegetation on the ground.
Method for measuring albedo described in ASTM E1918-16 "Standard Test method for measuring solar
reflectance of horizontal and low-sloped surfaces in the field”.
Measurements are not even constant during the day.
Constant values (average from measurements) are normally considered for calculations. Monthly values can
be considered as well.
