INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS
Between now and 2039, the ASCE report estimates that nearly $13 trillion is needed across 11
infrastructure areas: highways, bridges, rail, transit, drinking water, stormwater, wastewater,
electricity, airports, seaports and inland waterways.
$4.59 trillion of this investment is required by 2025.

BUILDING GREAT THINGS
220,000 US bridges need repair (36% of bridges) and 79,500 need to be replaced
The majority of the nation's WWTPs are designed with an average lifespan of 40 to 50 years,
so the systems that were constructed in the 1970s, around the passing of the Clean Water
Act in 1972, are reaching the end of their service lives.
Nationwide, the drinking water and wastewater pipes in the ground are on avg 45 years old
43% of our public roadways are in poor or mediocre condition, resulting in a $786 billion
backlog of road and bridge capital needs
