Anderson Schneider is a photographer based in Brasília, the city where he has lived and worked since the 1980s. He was born in
1974 in Paraná and has a degree in Architecture and Town Planning. He has worked in the editorial offices of several newspapers and
magazines in Brazil and has exhibited his work in galleries and museums in several Brazilian and European cities. Operating
independently, his work is regularly published in several outlets in Brazil and abroad, and he has produced a wide spectrum of articles
which portray from worldwide political figures and celebrities from the music and film fields, to important domestic and international,
political, economic and social issues, such as the sanitary exile brought about by leprosy in Brazil, the Kurdistan refugee question and
the post-war situation in Iraq. To compose the images that are part of Faces of Development Mr. Schneider has traveled all 5 regions of
the country, and shot different scenarios in 21 projects supported by the Inter-American Development Bank.
Mila Petrillo has been a photographer for 28 years. During this period, she has focused her priorities on the cultural area, with
emphasis on the social issues of childhood and adolescence. In her work, she has looked for complete interaction with the people being
photographed and has transformed the environment being portrayed into something very close to that which is seen in the picture. Her
images work with elements of tenderness and participation. Mila is constantly being asked to carry out photographic work for a number
of international organizations, such as the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and
Cultural Organization (Unesco) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAid). She has also carried out projects
providing images for several Brazilian media outlets, as well as for companies and for dance and theater groups. Mrs. Petrillo provided
the exhibition with pictures of two projects: Mother and Child Care Models and Social Reform Support Program for Children in Ceará.View entire presentation
