system manager functions
Rationale
Outcome 3
The Department of Health, in supporting a system manager function, sets the
vision and direction for the WA health system, as well as providing executive
oversight of strategic decision making, identifying health system priorities, and
guiding, overseeing and managing the statewide health system. This includes the
delivery of government priorities and responding to the emerging and current
needs of the Western Australian community. Overall, the aim is to ensure the
delivery of high quality, safe and timely health services.
This indicator measures stakeholders' perceptions of the Department of Health
and its delivery of system manager functions.
Target
The 2022-23 target for the percentage of stakeholders who indicate the
Department of Health to be meeting or exceeding expectations of the delivery of
system manager functions is 75 per cent or above.
Improved or maintained performance is demonstrated by a result equal to or
above the target.
