Ferrero Group
Sustainability Report 2022
Materiality
We believe that to succeed in a
changing world, the company must
identify, respond and adapt to the
sustainability issues that matter
most to our stakeholders and
our business.
In this year's report, we have provided insight
into how Ferrero manages the material issues
identified through the materiality assessment
carried out in fiscal year 2020/21, which
entailed the analysis of internal and external
stakeholder perspectives on sustainability
issues, and their potential impact on Ferrero's
ability to create value.
Moving forward
During fiscal year 2022/23, Ferrero carried
out a double materiality assessment with
the help of a third-party consultancy, ahead
of the upcoming EU Corporate Sustainability
Reporting Disclosure regulation. This
assessment entailed market data analysis,
risk mapping, and the engagement of internal
and external stakeholders to understand the
potential impact of Ferrero's activities (impact
materiality), as well as the financial materiality
related to sustainability matters (financial
materiality). We are excited to see the final
results of the assessment and present these
in the next year's report.
